So, it’s dark out(6:20am), I get my cup of coffee, hit the on-ramp and accelerate onto the interstate. There are 3 lanes when I get on, but in about 200 yards the right lane ends, so I just get on, signal and move to the center lane going 5 over the limit. There is sparse traffic, and this truck that was in the passing lane about 10-15 carlengths behind me moves over to the center lane(no signal) and flashes me his brites at me. I was like WTF?! As I certainly did not cut him off, let alone get into the same lane he was in. He was going about 2 or 3 mph faster than me, and doesn’t even come near me untill well after the merge where the right lane ends to pass. When he flashed I flipped him off thru the rear window, then as the truck passed I flipped off the passenger good. Keep in mind it is still dark out, LOL. The truck goes on it’s way and after a while dissapears from view. About 10 miles down the road the speed enforcement goes down so I kick it up about 5 mph. As not many cars had passed me, I started catching up to the truck again. After a bit I got to thinking…. And it was starting to get a bit lighter out. “That truck looks kinda like my boss’s…….” LOL, can you see where this is headed? :-) So, I’m not 100% sure, but it looks like it. So I just hang behind, not wanting to pass him after the earlier incident, hehe. Sure enough he takes my exit and goes to the plant. Doh! So, I park out in BFE(naturally, can’t have any rednecks parking by the Z) and catch up to my boss and his coworker he commutes with(the one I flipped off good, LOL) as they were walking in the front door. Luckily my boss is pretty cool, and knows how I am about traffic and my car and all. He knew it was me merging on and flashed me just to mess with me, not because he thought I did anything like merge too close to him, hehe. So, I was much relieved to say the least that they were laughing about it. Still, not a good feeling to realize you just flipped off your boss at the beginning of the week, and had asked for next week off for Mardi Gras. Oh well, all’s good :-) Mike
